In November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda, one of strongest typhoons ever recorded, devastated parts of the Philippines, leaving 16 million people affected.

Zeroing in on Haiyan affected areas in the Visayas region, BanKO partnered with Mercy Corps to provide unconditional cash transfer and livelihood loans for rebuilding the lives of the survivors of the calamity.
